For those of you that want to follow the progress brackets are updated within a few hours of game completion.

The 8 teams from MN had respectable 13 W 11 L in pool play combined.

David,

The results should be on the www.nafaregion3.com website by tomorrow.

Here are the 16A results from Rice Creek in Mounds View.  There were 33 teams.

1-MN Sting 16 Gold
2-Stone City Sharks (Illinois)
3-MN Renegades 93
4-Mounds View Mustangs

Thanks,
Sean

Sean,

Were there NAFA Nationals held anywhere other than in Minnesota?

It seems a little odd that the results would be posted on the National NAFA page too: http://www.playnafa.com/

Vince,

The regular NAFA Nationals in Decateur, Illinois were canceled.  I am not sure if there were other events that happend in other states.  I only work with the NAFA Northern Nationals.  We had a great turnout at all levels.  Sure most of the teams were from Minnesota but we did get more teams from Wisconsin, South Dakota, Nebraska, Canada and Illinois than last year.

We are going to continue to try to get teams from outside of Minnesota but also give Minnesota teams an affordable option that is close to home.  We run these tournaments in 3 to 4 days which saves families a lot of money.  We only charged a $100.00 gate fee for teams which also saves teams/parents a lot of money.

There are always things that we can improve on but I think things went very well this year.

Sean,

No complaints.  I was just wondering.  When I go to the NAFA National page, it appears that it hasn't been updated since around April 2009 -- over a year.  I was just curious how the rest of NAFA was doing.
